I like home schooling now that I think I can actually do this? I lacked resources initially thinking that my creativity was sufficient and our resources would be taken from inspiration and all that kind of stuff. Well purchasing a few more work books that the children CAN write in has made my life sooo much easier.
I simply pack their expanding folders and pack their books with the pages for the day book marked and we're away. The next step forward on our journey is to include the spellings. not yet planned those in for the day for the 3 children. At least now with the blue 'finished box' I can see that my kids are doing something each day (each day that I have organised the folders the night before)
The children are chuffed when they have completed their work and the stress level are reduced significantly allowing me to plan for other things like displays and stuff
I find a good time to do spelling is while I am cooking / washing dishes. Khadeeja sits at the kitchen table and I just call out words she needs to spell inshallah. ....get your chores done and a lesson in one go! voila!

Asalamualaikum sister...Me like yourself thought I could wing it through sheer inspiration but I too have realised the benefits of some structured plan (workbooks even!!!) too guide soem of homeschooling. The kids seem to like it to so who am I to turn away from texbooks and pens and desks. Not 'fun' but if the kids like it...
